(22,174 posts)thing to us/them. Time for 'who' to go back to work? You don't ID those that are supposedly not going back to work.
What's next, that you'll make a new law mandating that all should work 24x7, 100% of the time, at a very minimum wage job?
Why don't you increase the hourly rate and you'll find that you'll have plenty of workers showing up.

(65,227 posts)...where most of the jobs actually in town are lower paying service jobs. not one business is running short staffed.
We're very much a bedroom community where 90% of those making above the median household income drive to a different town for work.
So, except for auto mechanics and bank employees, a great many of the jobs are retail.
Every business is operating as normal.
Everybody MUST have gone back to work.
Looking at the National Workforce, there are still millions out of the workforce. There are millions of face to face jobs that folks are too scared to occupy, and millions of women are out of the workforce for lack of affordable childcare.
The people that needed to go back to work did. Im guessing many people retired and then there are people who had Covid that are suffering from the after effects and are unable to work. Then there might be a few who have saved enough money that they havent had to go back to work yet and some who have decided to go back to college.

(47,625 posts)What the hell does HE do for a living these days? Whatever it is, I'm sure it doesn't actually qualify as "work".

However, I would love it if he ran against trump in the republican primary.

(47,625 posts)cease to amaze me. They've never worked a real job for meagre wages, yet they are so quick to tell other people to "get back to work". I'm sure he doesn't even realize how tone-deaf that sounds, because he believes he is above the average peon.

(32,095 posts)No shit. Only the suckers who support and vote for you and your ilk ever believed you care about anyone, beyond them being disposable, cheap labor for you to use for your own benefit. The rest of us have been onto you for decades, you fascist sack of shit. Go fuck yourself.

The only true thing he said was, "workers do have more leverage now." It's time to organize, kiddos!

If he was working class he would be dead today - only reason he survived Covid last year is because he is rich and has access to the BEST Medical care and drugs.

(16,541 posts)I'm retired, but he's not, and he's considered an essential worker. Masks have been required the whole time (hurray), but he's been going in right along.
My daughter and her boyfriend have both been working their asses off from home since March 2020, with no end in sight.
Chris Christie needs to shut his blowhole until and unless he wants to discuss a topic he actually knows something about (assuming such a topic exists).

(11,924 posts)as Christie is a member of the republinazi party and by default, they want to kill people. The same republinazi party that tried at least 70 times to end the ACA.
