Compulsive Liar Rand Paul ran to Fox News' America Reports to bitch, moan, and complain after being criticized by many others for attacking federal disaster relief for other states and then demanding the same relief for his state of when Kentucky was hit with a massive tornado tragedy.
LIAR RAND PAUL: "I've never had a problem with the program. Have never really opposed disaster relief for any part of the country," he lied. Yes, yes he did. He opposed relief for Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Harvey, and California's fire relief.
The LA Times' Michael Hiltzik reports, "On disaster aid, Paul voted against a 2013 bill to aid victims of Hurricane Sandy, and earlier this year blocked accelerated passage of the Gulf Coast Hurricane Aid Act, a measure to aid victims of the storms in Louisiana. Its still pending."
Some of us remember that...and the other assorted lies that Paul is famous for.

(15,943 posts)Rand you VOTED against the relief programs.
But you said this on Fox so you're good. No viewer would bother to check your voting record.

Rand Paul, like McConnell, is an embarrassment. Many of us, including a number on this board, hate both of them.

I know, the refs are paid off and the only flags thrown are in our faces. When the asses speak, our team needs to employ instant reply. Video proof, and instantly!!!!!

(2,785 posts)instead of a small town in Western Kentucky where people probably vote for him in heavy numbers, then he would still be against disaster aid.

Rep. Peter King (R-Seaford) fired back today after Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) accused King and Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) of demanding too much aid following Superstorm Sandy.
"They are 'Gimme, gimme, gimme all my Sandy money now.' Those are the people who are bankrupting the government and not allowing enough money be left over for national defense," Paul said.
King says Long Island was hit with one of the worst natural disasters in history when Sandy struck last October. It took three months for New York and New Jersey to receive $61 billion to clean up after Sandy.
Paul voted against the aid.
Massapequa residents tell News 12 they think Paul should come to Long Island to see the damage for himself.

He had originally ripped into his party after Cheeto Boner pulled the additional funding bill off the House floor in December and didn't come back to it until the end of the next month.

(11,122 posts)And it gets them re-elected. We need to learn that people who still support republicans are amoral. They have no center belief or core value. It is all tribe and hate. The admire a person who will lie to them. The liar knows they are lying. Their voters know they are lying to them. They don't care. Truth doesn't matter.
