it's warm enough that I have turned off the heat an opened a few windows for a little while.

kind of in the middle of the big blob of bad on the weather reports.
After the derecho last year, we couldn't find anyone to take some really big limbs out of a tall tree on our property. I fear that they may come down. Hopefully, not on the house or the power lines.
ETA: Schools are dismissing at noon and all after school activities are cancelled.

they're saying tonight winds could gust to 60 mph

60 mph gusts aren't that high for Chgo. I lived theremost of my life. Still could be issues with power lines I suppose.
