But I do not fear hurricanes. There is a 3-5 day warning of hurricane headed our way.

I fear earthquakes and tornadoes much more because there is not much of a warning.
California had some serious earthquakes in the past.

Not being raised in an evangelical environment she fails to appreciate the wrath of god. But I was and do appreciate the sweet vengeance is mine serendipity of god blowing away whole communities of ignorance and cognitive dissonance that defines much of rural America.

God, nature or whatever, you can’t get away with pissing into the wind without the risk of getting spray back. Seems to me that a lot of folks have gone down the path of damn the consequences, let’s party.

The state needs to dump both of them. McTurtle has gotten extremely rich while in office. I imagine Paul has too. Time for them to go.

At one time, I was one of the Democrats living in Kentucky. There are many Democrats in the state as there are in other states and a lot of horrible senators from everywhere, even from Democratic states.

This is a time to help the citizens of Kentucky and the other states affected by these horrible storms. It is not the time to make fun of them. That is not who we are as Democrats, or at least, who I thought we were.

Appreciate your comment, brooklynite!!

Chiidren have been hurt and killed here. I’m not holding kids responsible for the political decisions or ideology of adults.

This really isn’t necessary.

is angry with us for doing such a piss-poor job of managing the planet she gave us and is trying every method she knows to vomit us up and wipe us off the face of her creation. As good an explanation as any.

As individuals, we are all bothered by similar disturbances that can be grouped.

Some we call acts of God and these, fire, flood, earthquake, storm, are never personally experienced by many. Thank the truth.

More certain in our daily lives are the disturbances of our immediate neighboring environment of torment, thorn, trumps, pets, mosquitos, family, friends, ...
Who will deny being often disturbed. Nonetheless, there are get-aways, bug repellents, moments of rest.

And lastly we have those disturbances of self-inflicted flagellation; self-worth, judgements, prejudices, bias, body and belief.
24-7 we are disturbed within ourselves; even sleep brings no respite when nightmares arise.

Which torment to tackle first?
