TFG says Pence has been 'mortally wounded' in the GOP because he refused to help overturn election

Former President Donald Trump laid into former vice-president Mike Pence over the weekend, saying Pence was "mortally wounded" in the GOP after the latter refused to overturn the election results on Jan. 6.

Trump was speaking at a ticketed event in Florida with former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly when he told the crowd that he thought Pence had been "very badly hurt" by allowing the 2020 election to be certified.

"Mike Pence is a good man. He served me well. I was disappointed only in one thing, but it was a big thing. It's like saying we won the game, we win another game, but we got our ass kicked in the World Series," Trump said. "Mike should have sent those crooked votes back to the legislatures and you would have had a different result in the election, in my opinion."

On Sunday, Trump also criticized Pence for not having the "courage" to not certify the vote.

Had Pence stepped in that car, he would have been mortally wounded.
My guess is that mother saved his ass.

All his projections or comments are stories about what he has done or is doing.

Yes if he had jumped into the car with unknown SS agents, I don't think it would have ended well.

And much more dangerous than we knew. The buffoon persona hides some seriously bad stuff.

I have no idea how this will play out. And if he will ever serve any time at all.

I think Pence is going to run - and other republicans too - in 2024 no matter what. Politicians who have presidential aspirations don't like to have to possibly wait on make them reality, and in the case of Pence, he's blinded by them so he can't see he has little to no chance. But if he could drop some hits on a possible Trump candidacy (if he's even able to run), that's a good thing.

And in that, Trump is probably right. There's no way enough of Trump's cult members would vote for him even if Trump doesn't run. Trump is just going to constantly complain about everyone he thinks wasn't a good enough soldier.

At some point sociopaths can start believing all the lies they tell.
Then they are no longer in touch with reality. This can be triggered by a serious wound to their ego.

Early on, reports were that Trump knew Biden had won. Trump was humiliated and sank into a deep depression.

He then emerged with a set of lies about the election being stolen, this was for the purpose of saving face and repairing a serious wound to his ego. At some point he could start believing it all which coincides with his narcissism and sociopathy. Also would make sense given his long term use of uppers and possible bi-polar disorder.

I think Trump would run again IF he felt the cards were all stacked in his favor. If he had rigged enough state houses to get the votes he needs. But if he doesn't feel fairly certain of a win, I do not think he could stand another total humiliation and damage to his ego.
