"We've had a miracle situation," company spokesman Bob Ferguson said. "Only eight lost."

I mean WTF? I stopped reading the article after that line. I clicked out. How callous a response. Anyone want to fill me in on what the hell this person was talking about? Really sad story of people digging themselves out of that warehouse to that point. I mean 80 + last article I read died. What kinda fuck kinda person would say such a thing? What kinda fool would get paid to go out front of the press and utter those lines? I gotta go feed the doggies ... sigh ...

Would you be calling it a "miracle," Bob, if one of them was your spouse or child or parent? I think not.

“God was watching over me”, I always wonder how that resonates with the families of those who died. I get that they’re thankful to be alive, but saying that God intervened to save your life means that God for some reason chose not to save the lives of the ones who did die.

It's so profoundly self-centered.
