and one side wanted to continue to use a racist name and mascot. And that person is a trumper, for sure.

At halftime, a group of people disguised as Dinesh D'Souza could run around the field moving the goalposts.

so fucking concerned about a stupid high school mascot? The puncher was not wearing his mask correctly, so I'm thinking he's a Trump idiot pissed off about cancel culture. He was unmasked and in the Board member's face, the Board member put his hands on the asshole and pushed him away. By touching the guy first, did the Board member create a problem for himself legally?

We had almost the exact same thing happen a couple of years ago at my old high school. I was in the fifth class to graduate from that school more than 40 years ago, so I'd say I have as much right as anyone to feel like this was an important part of my history. The school nickname was the Rebels, and featured a lot of Confederate imagery. At the time of the school's christening, there were good reasons to choose Rebels as the mascot, but those reasons had faded over time. The students attending the school decided on their own to change the mascot to the Red Hawks, similar to what it sounds like the students at Glastonbury did.

There was some discussion in various alumni chat rooms about the change, but my two cents were that I wasn't going to the school any longer, if the nickname was no longer suited to the young people going there, then it was 100% their business to change it. They're now the Red Hawks, and best of luck to them from the Class of 76.
