Many professional teams have been impacted. Half of the Chicago Bulls squad is in quarantine.

Bad stuff.

The NBA & NFL started regular testing of vaxxed players & staff. The sudden uptick in cases is in good measure, linked to more diligent testing.
In the case of the Bulls (mentioned in this thread), 10 of 15 rostered players are in the protocol. (All their players & staff are vaxxed. In fact, only 13 players in the whole NBA are unvaxxed.). 7 are asymptomatic & 3 have mild symptoms.
Kobi White was on Chicago sports radio Monday. He is one of the three with symptoms.
He said over his HS, college years, and a couple years as a pro, he had played several games with a cold or the flu when he felt much worse than he does now.
So, consistent with other COVID findings, young vaccinated people, in good physical condition are very unlikely to get serious illness.
Also, a doctor from Northwestern University, on WGN morning news, said team athletes have greater exposure risk due to all the close quarter work. So, they're not a good representation of the greater population, in terms of getting infected.
So, it's not all dark clouds.
