Paul Gosar's chief of staff tried to intercept a plane rumored to be full of fake votes for Biden

The chief of staff for Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona tried to catch a plane rumored to be full of fake votes, court document say.

The episode is one of the most outlandish in the fruitless search by allies of former President Donald Trump for proof that the 2020 election was stolen.

Gosar's aide, Tom Van Flein, hunted for a plane from South Korea that conspiracy theorists identified as a source of what they thought was election-changing levels of fraud, per documents cited by The New York Times on Thursday.

They found a Korean Air plane, but no proof of stolen ballots.

I wonder how the airport personnel who had to deal with this idiot felt?

How do these idiots who promote these weird theories explain them? For example, let's assume there was a plane full of fake ballots, how would such ballots ever get into the system to be counted? They would be noticed right away if any large amount of ballots suddenly showed up at a precinct. Also, the extra ballots wouldn't match up with the number of ballots expected from the voter roles.

People just don't understand how hard it would actually be to cheat in an election. They put forth this BS knowing that most people don't actually know how votes get counted, how voting machines work, and how paper ballots are collected even if you are using voting machines.

But, you would think they'd at least have some kind of explanation ready if they were ever challenged on such BS. I still trying to process just how dumb people in America have become.

A very few reporters will question, but you do not ever have to talk to an unfriendly media outlet if you are a Republican. How many times has Trump been on CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, the NY Times, etc...?

Why is it that Rand Paul runs to Fox when he gets outed as an idiot? He knows that he won't be asked difficult questions.

When only the legacy broadcasters existed and the newspapers were still relevant, and you wanted to get your message out, you had to be able and willing to field tough questions. Now, people are trying to start up media outlets that cater specifically to a viewpoint they want to amplify.

We aren't even operating from the same reality anymore. Well, Republicans don't seem to be operating from reality at all.

I go by the preponderance of evidence. If it is reported by multiple outlets in similar ways, then I see the trend.

I know who I do not trust at all. Any of the right wing outlets.

MSNBC hosts are at least up front with their bias and try to do factual reporting. Fox and the other right wingers lie about their bias and make up flagrant lies to fashion a narrative.

You make an excellent point that there are outlets catering to specific viewpoints. In fact, if one of their reporters ever dares to find the truth beyond the specific narrative, that reporter is canned or forced to quit. I'm pretty sure that is the reason Chris Wallace has recently left FOX.

In my precinct we have long skinny ballots that you insert in the machine. The last place I lived we had larger ballots. When I lived in the country I voted on paper ballots that folded in the middle. It's insane to think ballots could just be inserted into the system and have them match the right style and size for every situation.

to do shit like this?! I want to laugh. it's a farce, a slapstick comedy.

oh the movies that will come out of the former administration, if we ever extract ourselves from the cult of personality and deal appropriately with the propaganda that gets disseminated so widely. That's an abuse of the 1st amendment and imo the single biggest cause of the polarization of the nation.

"The lawsuit said that a member of the group called the local sheriff urging him to investigate (a parked plane at an airport)."

There's a plane at an airport. We find it odd. You must investigate.
