I asked her if she even knows what communism is. She told me she knew what communism was because she knew someone who left russia.

I said that does not answer my question.Do you know what communism is?

She was silent

I said funny every magat claims the same thing about someone from russia they know.

However I do know republicans make shit up,convince themselves its true than just have to tell everyone else in earshot what they think is true,in other words they bullshit themselves. is someone on the internet. That story comes up all over the place on conservative websites. It's not written by that someone from Russia, it just someone saying they know someone from Russia. And there are no details. Just that this someone from Russia says they (Biden or Obama, or Hillary...) is doing or will do all the horrible things they do to people in Russia.

You can discredit them pretty quickly by asking for details. What's that person's name? Where in Russia did they live? When did they leave Russia?

They will be visibly stumped when you ask these questions.

About 10% of me considered engaging them and pointing out that we withdrew under Trump's plan and that Biden had delayed our withdrawal from June until September. And, isn't it nice that he had the sense to finally pull that band-aid off so that that's hundreds of billions of dollars that we're saving right now and have available to spend on other things?

But, the other 90% of me realized that these people are nitwits who wouldn't know the difference between a Pashtun and a popsicle, unless Sean Hannity told them about it, and I realized that it was better to stay disengaged and have them answer my maintenance requests, when I have them.

She, and her family, were immigrants from Soviet Russia back in the late-70s or early-80s when Soviet Russia allowed many Jews to leave.
