hooked on drugs can file bankruptcy, but the average Joe can't file bankruptcy on a student loan that was originated and signed at the ripe age of 18. Student loans are predatory.

So are the Sacklers. Sometimes I really wish there was a heaven and hell. These greedy, heartless, assholes would burn for eternity in a special level of hell designed exclusively for them.

As it is, I hope this opens the door to recover more money for the families of their victims.

Source, I know a lawyer involved with the case. This is the worst possible development in terms of getting settlement money, the Sacklers will likely go full scorched-earth now. Could be a decade until this is resolved and payments happen; I know y'all want your blood but SMH

arrest them all, deny them bail like we would any drug dealer who killed thousands of people, and make it crystal clear, the one and only way they are leaving their cells (which should be in gen pop) is if they pay up and pay up big.

Those greedy bastards should have to pay out every penny they own for the sorrow they've caused countless families around the world.
