A Real Christmas Story

I have to admit that I'm sorry to see that FOX-News has already moved on from the coverage of their Christmas tree being burned to the ground.

It was a news story that held such promise - a Dickensonian tale full of dire warnings that the "War on Christmas" was now playing out in a full-blown battle of epic proportions.

"Oh, the humanity!" they all cried as they ran footage of their "All American Christmas Tree" burning to the ground - the crispified tinsel scattered over several square feet, the giant fake monument to "Jesus, Hanukkah, and everything this country stands for" being obliterated within inches of the purveyors of fake news.

Surely merchandise was ready to be launched in time for yuletide gift-giving - like highly flammable ornaments commemorating the event, and nativity sets featuring a communist/Democrat Wise Man arriving at the manger with a book of matches (compliments of the "No Vacancy Inn" ) and a blow torch.

But then - in the twinkling of the Baby Jesus's eye - the FOX-News hosts had something else to deal with, i.e. their own text messages sent on January 6th begging Trump to call off his rabid dogs who were attacking the Capitol.

What could have been the FOX-News story of the century - the attack on their Christmas tree - suddenly became the biggest non-story of the year.

In the aftermath of all of the above, Mary launched a website selling designer swaddling clothes, Joseph signed-up for an exclusive interview with CNN, and The Divine Kid just laughed and laughed at the folly of it all.
