Between Thanksgiving and New Years: The best time to slip chaos through government. A rant.

In the nineties I had a short period of time when I actually was shoulder to shoulder with the political activists in my City. What an education. My main motive was to get answers to explain the strange behavior that I was witnessing in my own HOA. It was a slow burn learning curve to realize that most of these political activists were Republican or Libertarian and they reflected the political beliefs of the people on the dais, as well as the people who worked for the City. The difference between the two, was that the City had its mission and chose to take the worst of every political leaning, including resorting to backwater politics, in order to reach its objective. So, they were obviously going to rub some people wrong.

Anyway, one of the people that I conversed with actually had experience with GOP politics at a state and national level. And he told me that if the GOP had an agenda to push through, especially if it required public notice, they would do it between the holiday months. Because this was the time of the year that people were committed to family plans and would find it difficult to politically organize. By January, the deed was done and, they presumed, people would have adjusted to the change and had moved on in their life. (Just a side-point: one of the most remarkable things I have noticed living in a white suburb is how the power grabbers assume people would, "get over" their abusive behavior. It's like they don't plan for the hostile environment they create in their wake. Or maybe, they don't care if you move aside, or move out. It's all the same to them.)

But, back to the point: I can't help thinking that Joe Manchin was crafty with his timing when he made his bombshell statement regarding the BBB. Right before Christmas, hoping that the repercussions would get diffused by the holiday season. So, I applaud the Dems for pushing the vote back to early next year, and I highly recommend putting Joe Manchin on the record.

I also recommend pushing commercials in WV to educate the people of WV because Manchin has convinced them that the BBB will increase gas prices, making it harder for them to make a living. Really take it down to their level and deal with their daily worries.

Fantastic idea to put out wall-to-wall commercials in WV from now until the vote to show his constituents just how much BBB would help them and how badly Manchin will screw them over if he votes against it.
