(66 posts)But not according to my dad. He's a republican and has been guaranteeing that Romney would win. We argue about politics a lot but that's about the only thing. I keep on telling him these numbers but he says he watches the news and not just Faux News but all of them. He immigrated from Cuba in 1961 to escape Castro so I understand a little why he's republican. My mom is a white Jewish liberal and they're divorced. He's 60 btw and I'm 22 and a middle child.

(642 posts)If you watch the news they are stuck on the narrative that Romney has sustained momentum.
He does not. He quickly closed a large gap after the first debate but has not overtaken Obama.
But I guess the networks don't find the idea that the incumbent President is holding tight to his
lead to be quite as compelling a story as the challenger overtaking him.
