Former Virginia Gov. and U.S. Sen. Chuck Robb and his wife, Lynda, sustained injuries as a massive fire destroyed their McLean home late Tuesday.
(snip)

Luci Baines Johnson, Lynda’s sister, told WTOP her brother-in-law, Chuck Robb, was hospitalized with burns but has since been released. Her sister, who suffered smoke inhalation, remains hospitalized. Lynda Bird Johnson Robb is the eldest daughter of former President Lyndon Baines Johnson.

In Northam’s statement, the couple’s three daughters said, “Our entire family is deeply grateful to the firefighters for their rapid response and the medical professionals who are taking care of them. We have what is most important to us — our mom and dad.”

Just Google mapped the neighborhood. Very nice land value, near DC, property possibly backs to the Potomac. No matter how nice the house was, big property value remains -- and it's that part that couldn't just be rebuilt.

They're not saying she should go ahead of the former governor and senator - rather that she's more than just an unknown wife. She's the daughter of the Former President of the United States.

Better headline: Former Virginia Gov. and Sen. Chuck Robb and wife, Lynda daughter of Former President Lyndon Johnson, injured after McLean house fire

That's what the TOS suggests, right?

((If it had been grossly wrong, I would have posted a bracketed headline.))

I do agree with the other posts - the writer of the article should have acknowledged the daughter of President Johnson up front.

That was a wonderful house, and Chuck and Lynda are delightful people. I hope they recover, and manage to rebuild on the same spot. About 15 years ago, they hosted an event there with and for Senate candidate Jim Webb. Bill Clinton was there, too, and we (my brother was along) got to chat with him for a while. I forget just who invited me/us (might have been Howard?), but I was glad they did.

My brother lives and worked not too far from there, so it was a quick drive. Great place, great company. Losing either is a sad occasion, and I hope that no one needs long-term burn treatment, which, I am told by survivors, is painful torture in itself.

there traveling on Chain Bridge Rd. between DC and Va many times. I hope all are doing ok, what a scare. Although I never met Sen. Robb, I passed by Linda Robb once outside a Post Office. My niece was with me and I told her who she was, and to remember. My brother saw Pres. Johnson at an event mom took him to years back.
