However I did have one pleasant surprise today. Wednesday is my day to run errands and I've been bringing groceries to my agoraphobic brother for awhile. He only leaves the house if he really has to, so he figured he wouldn't be affected by this pandemic. It took me awhile, but I finally convinced him to get vaccinated when they started accepting walk-ins in the old Sears store at the nearby local mall. I even showed up and took him, he got Pfizer shot #2 in May. But he drew the line at a third shot, kept asking me how many more he'd have to get. *sigh*
But when I stopped by tonight, he showed me his card - he went out to get his prescription filled within the week (he goes through the drive-thru) and noticed that the mall vaccination site is open and accepting walk-ins again (they have lighted signs out by the road) - so he stopped at the place he already knew and got his booster! Made my week!

All the best to you!

(205,914 posts)So you could probably step up if you really had to. My concern is that they change the procedures over the years, they learn more about what's needed/most effective. I know it's changed quite a bit since it was first being taught, the teacher of my first class had taught it for years. Then I took the opportunity to get recertified regularly when it was offered where I worked. I'm guessing that we'd only have to take one class.
