and made wonderful movies like this.

I'm hoping he was a Wendell Willkie or Dwight Eisenhower Republican and not a fan of Silent Cal. Pretty sure he would be repulsed by tRump.

Jimmy Stewart was a Republican. And he was close friends with liberal Henry Fonda.

because Capra did not believe in government intervention, but rather in the potential generosity of the individual citizen-- a theme that is present in "It's a Wonderful Life". He certainly was a very successful self-made immigrant, basically a child of immigrants who went to Caltech and received a degree in chemical engineering and then eventually becoming a very successful Hollywood Director. His earlier, greatest films were written by Robert Riskin, a liberal, who was quite interested in social and economic justice. It's A Wonderful Life was written by several writers including Capra himself. There was animosity between Capra and key writers Hackett and Goodrich who stated Capra was a SOB.

Capra did in fact support Wilkie.

the Supreme Court. And they are armed to the teeth.

This country has already become the dark, nasty nation that was Pottersville, Fuck Biden flags hang from houses and the backs of trucks, red hat morons terrorizing local school boards, even assaulting members for making decisions that offend them.

Merry Christmas!

…and I fail to see the appeal of an banker who hires his incompetent Uncle to handle the bank’s assets.

I’ll also note that Pottersville has late night library hours.
