2020 had 375,000 reported COVID deaths

but the total death count for 2020 was 3.35 million.
The mortality count in 2018 & 2019 was 2.85 million.
So we had 500,000 excessive deaths in 2020. In a year when people stayed home.
I think it is apparent there were far more deaths from COVID than reported.
I think we are over a million in this country.

I've known some actuaries that work for 3 different insurance companies. (Well, one retired earlier this year.). I've known all of them since the mid 90s, one even longer.
They've all been very consistent in saying they believe the real death count is around 30% higher than the official count.
One says closer to 35%, another says 25-30%.
All in all, their opinions have me believing the 30% estimate.

It also puts the total over a million.
I understand the modeling these folks do, but not like them. They're true experts. I trust them.
