Tenth Circuit Affirms Denial of US Citizenship to American Samoans

Last June, a three-judge appeal panel of the 10th Circuit concluded that American Samoans are not citizens under the birthright citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment.

The petition for re-hearing en banc has been denied, with a lengthy dissent:

So, for now, it looks like we are going to have to wait to see what the Supreme Court has to say about the rights of all OTHER US citizens to buy property there and enforce their ownership claims against the hereditary clan-based property system maintained by Samoans in preserving their cultural identity.
