(32,680 posts)As a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, I've spent several years hating this man for the times the Oakland Raiders ruined our Superbowl chances. I think we ruined his chances a few times too. He was an awesome coach and leader.

(5,323 posts)Especially the 'immaculate reception' play. It still burns my ass to this day.
But when you look back on it all those years ago, those two teams and those two coaches gave us some of the greatest games ever played.
God bless John Madden and Chuck Noll. They're probably together talking about right now in the world beyond.

(5,323 posts)I think I remember all of them. Used to go to Raider games all the time back then. Back then you could buy good seats for around fifty bucks I think. I never saw them play the Steelers. I would have given my left testicle to see that game on a Monday night.
Stabler and Bradshaw deserved their places in the Hall of Fame. As do Madden and Noll.
