Someone on Rachel's show is blaming Harry Reid for removing the filibuster for judges, but

conveniently leaves out that republicans would not let any Obama judicial appointments to occur, and the only way to allow that was getting rid of the filibuster

I wonder what those critics would suggest to allow Obama judges to get voted on?

Just looking at what we are up against with passing legislation now answers that question, and it is only reconciliation that gives it a chance.

Incidentally, Rachel is on vacation

became useful for Repukes (which I assert based on McTurtle's own record of up-ending convention/precedent/rules) is a fool or a liar...

Unilateral disarmament is for suckers. The Repukes fight dirty. Always. Accept that and fight for our majority to be appropriately represented, or accept permanent right-wing minority rule.

told Chris Hayes that Harry Reid knew Moscow Mitch was already planning to do a carve-out for judges and acted preemptively to beat him to the punch. He was a great strategic thinker.

BTW, if anyone missed it, Mystal just ROASTED Chief Justice Roberts for his repeated anti-democracy moves in an extended rant.
