US CDC Investigating Nearly 70 Cruise Ships Hit by COVID-19 Cases

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Monday it was investigating nearly 70 cruise ships after reports of COVID-19 cases on board, as the Omicron variant upended holiday travel over the Christmas weekend.

The CDC said COVID-19 cases on 68 ships had met its threshold for an investigation.

until this virus is under control?

it's like they are asking for Covid. just cannot wait to get on board and eat crappy food and visit exotic ports for 3 hours. fun!

We'd like to take another cruise sometime, but you couldn't pay me to get on a ship at this moment in time.

It's not my cup of tea, but there are probably things I like that other people don't (they're wrong, of course). But right now, people should rethink it when they feel "I'm dying to go on a cruise ship."

I'm fully vaxxed. But taking a cruise for three or four days would be like jumping into a large Petri dish.

or are they still just having issues because operating cruises during a pandemic is normally considered a bad idea- considering they have enough issues with outbreaks of other stuff under normal circumstances?
