for defying House mask rules, report saysRepublican Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Andrew Clyde have racked up more than $100,000 in fines for refusing to comply with the House of Representatives' mask mandate, The New York Times reported.
Greene has incurred more than $80,000 in penalties and has been fined more than 30 times for defying mask rules, the report said, while Clyde has incurred at least $30,000 in penalties and has been fined at least 14 times.
The penalties are taken out of the lawmakers' paychecks, according to the Times. Greene and Clyde who both represent districts in Georgia have been fined so many times that the House Ethics Committee, which typically puts out a press release announcing each individual fine, started announcing the two lawmakers' fines in batches.
However, Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky told CNN in July that Clyde has evaded his fines by changing his tax withholdings.

A better solution would be to bar access to Capitol property to anyone not wearing a mask.
Greene can sit at home and troll the president on Twitter, since thats all shed be doing if she was at work anyway.

privilege to drive.
Why is this repeat offender still permitted to vote? For that matter, why is she allowed entry into the Capitol?
