Jen Psaki called out a clip of Biden seeming to say states had to deal with COVID-19 on their own

saying it was misleadingly edited

White House press secretary Jen Psaki called out a clipped video shared by the Republican Party in which President Joe Biden said there was "no federal solution" to the coronavirus pandemic, saying the video had been taken out of context.

The video went viral on Tuesday and was shared on the official Republican Party Twitter account.

It shows five seconds of video in which Biden says, "There is no federal solution. This gets solved at the state level." It came from a discussion with state governors about the coronavirus pandemic the previous day.

-snip-

Psaki subsequently shared a video published by the White House that showed a longer version of what Biden said.

And now Republicans celebrate the murderous success of their strategy.

I'll also add that it's interesting to me to see the self-correcting reporting by the media during the former guy's reign of error. The former guy would say something objectionable or stupid, and if a "clarification" wasn't immediately forthcoming from the former guy's administration, the media would congenially supply one to show that what the former guy said wasn't really what he meant. And then the former guy would repeat his objectionable or stupid comment the next day or the next week. The media would shamelessly "clarify" the remarks again.

Nowadays, Biden can have his comments sliced and diced by a hostile opposition, and the media simply echo it.

.... Democrats don't have to conduct themselves in the illegal, and all-around dishonest tactics that the Republicans use. All they need to do is tell the truth, but in telling that truth they need to be ruthless with ice water in their veins. The old saying is true. " you never bring a knife to a gunfight".
