First one is not excited about two very seniors (Biden, Whinny Donny) so they suggested:
Ask yourself which politicians have stayed true to the roots of their respective party's policies. Who has stepped up to defend our Constitution? Who speaks with authority and resolution to the American public? Who has huge influence among constituents?
Two people stand out to me: Rep. Liz Cheney and Stacey Abrams.

Another interesting though:
The 22nd Amendment was passed by Congress in 1947, and was ratified by the states on Feb. 27, 1951. It says a person can only be elected president to two terms in office. It would seem that Trump must stop claiming that he won his second election in 2020 and declare that he was defeated in 2020 before he can run again.

(2,649 posts)I understand the desire not to undermine the current President.
However, youth would really help in the next presidential campaign.
It could supply the knock-out punch for the win.

(90,690 posts)Aside from that, I must once again ask people to stop declaring President Biden a lame-duck only 1/4 of the way thru his first term.
And again, comparing Biden and TFG to each other by age falls apart as soon as you see one of them jogging, bicycling, and wrestling with German Shepherds, while the other demands a golf cart at a foreign summit so he wont have to walk half a block from the building to the photo site.

(47,479 posts)earlier. And one cannot ignore the age factor. The letters came in response to Biden's recent comment that he will run if physically able.
We cannot afford to ignore the possibility that Biden will not run again. And, perhaps, as some pundits recently commented, being a one term may allow him to do what he wants to do and not think about the next elections.

V.P. Harris.
The governor of California would be one.
"Mayor Pete" another.

(47,479 posts)Too many loved Reagan so much that they thought they were getting him for a third term.
Once completed her term(s) Harris will have to go out and introduce herself as her own person.
