It's interesting to see how families of antivaxxers who die of covid, handle the deceased's FB page

Very few do nothing. If this person ends up being identified on a site like sorryantivaxxers.com, their page gets slammed by cautionary finger wagging and down right rude, hurtful comments. (Personally, I think that's wrong. The family is going through enough grief and anguish. Also, I don't understand why anyone wouldn't keep their personal page set to private.)

Some just restrict comments. MOST do a very thorough scrub, removing all of the ridiculous anti-vaxx and 'covid is not real' memes. That makes me wonder if they disagreed with and are embarrassed by that family member's stand.

Anyway, that's what I'm noticing.

their children/grandchildren/ grandparents/mom/dad to get vaxxed and they refused..liberty/freedom/God/FOX.. then I understand their grief, but if the family as a whole is rabidly anti-vaccine ..liberty/freedom/God/FOX..and lose someone to covid then I remain apathetic particularly when they post their loss claiming a dead child is worth owning the libs...

One's Facebook page is the face one chooses to show to the cyber world.
Why would others seek to erase that unique face.

Clearly someone is not proud.
Only the owner can de-authorize the autobiography of that one.
For the dead, nothing can be re-written; the time to fix one's face has flown.
The karmas have been concreted.

Somehow this erasure seems to me to be a negation of the story we most all are told from the time of the cradle,
"You are special, an individual, one of a kind, be all you can be."
Then they are 'un-built'.

6. An anti-vaxxer/anti-masker in my area is on ventilator with Covid in the hospital

His Facebook page was full of vaccine conspiracy theories, anti-mask memes, ect. His wife's page was even worse! Like 10+ posts a day about refusing to comply. After he was put on a vent, his wife scrubbed both pages clean. She also put up a GoFundMe and demanded $50,000 for their expenses due to him having Covid.

it's hard drumming up an nth of sympathy for any of them.

Especially this woman that proudly participated in the Jan 6th insurrection.
