The good ol' days...

Not so, so long ago really. When a Democrat could hope that the craziest, far-right whacko nutjob would win the GOP primary, and not have to worry about said nutjob winning a general election....

I remember them well, and fondly.

premise was that Dems should want both Dem and GOP nominee to be sane. They were right
