My son's wife's son (figure that out) who is living with him and his two children from a previous marriage has come down with Covid. Picked it up when he was picked up his two kids who were at his divorced wife's parent's home in Alabama. Of course, they - being good Repukes - weren't vaxxed and neither was my son's wife's son (let's call him Chris). Chris , even though having two children who aren't vaxxed, wasn't going to let any government official tell him what to do.
Seems like after Chris left Alabama and returned to my son's home, he got a call from the Alabama family that they had covid and were told to notify all they were exposed to. Well, he got the news after he returned so now he, his mother, my son, and the two kids are under quarantine.
Pisses me off - we were to have a belated Xmas present opening/party at our apartment on their return and that's gone
THANK GOD- My son and his wife had their shot and boosters - required at their work and the two kids (3 and 6) - well, we're crossing fingers on them.
Idiot- I could strangle him. He's lucky he's out of my reach right now. Stewing and full of all sorts of feelings and anxiety now.

(21,716 posts)Her father has just tested positive for Covid, so she will not be coming back for at least 2 weeks. I will miss her but...Poor kid, she is 23 months. The father has been around his family, and they are a bunch of tRumpers. He is fully vaccinated, but has been around his family since he has an aunt who just died of Covid. And he went to the burial and the interment with his family. Now he has Covid, big surprise.

(11,915 posts)Just yesterday I heard of 2 of my friends families who have it. One picked it up at an Xmas gathering with Trump-jumper family members, the others picked it up at their sons wedding where they didnt want masks in pictures, or to cause hard feelings by asking about vaccinations, tests, or enforcing masking.
