It ended the year closing at 36,338.30. Hitting the record high at 36488.63 on the 29th of December.
Not much mentioned about this because the economy is that bad?

The health of theeconomy was judged by the level of the stock market. Wages cost to goods everything else be damned! Now we've got both, but the media sees the economy is tanking??? WTF!
