I don't want to jinks anything but I keep thinking there has to be more to that Wednesday news conference.

(43,173 posts)I expect a summary of all they've accomplished and where they're heading. I think if they were dropping something new and major for the anniversary, they would have just done it rather than give an accounting of the action thus far.

According to Maggie Haberman of The New York Times, one of the reasons for the cancelation is that Trump's advisors and associates privately told him that the press conference would be a mistake and that he would probably not get his event covered live, something that he reveled in throughout his TV career and as president.
