At no point in his political career has Mr. Trump enjoyed the support of the majority of the country

“The most important fact about the Trump era can be gleaned simply by examining his vote tallies and approval ratings: At no point in his political career has Mr. Trump enjoyed the support of the majority of the country he governed for four years.”

When he lost people danced in the street like they had deposed a dictator. But he felt he didn’t need any stinking majority in fiefdom. That’s why all his claims that he was cheated out of the election were ridiculous on the face of it

The stupid + the fascist + the ignorant + the racists + the anti-science Christians are still in the minority.

It is difficult to change human nature.

Consistently promoted Donnie and rarely pointed out how broadly and deeply unpopular he was.

Quite the contrary, in fact; the media went out of their way to note how passionate Donnie's supporters were. Again, without mentioning that they were not representative of the majority of Americans.

How often did they cover events where Donnie would show up at some airport and make a speech to a tiny crowd that was nearly all staffers, and act like it was a major event instead of a humiliating display of a lack of support?

Meanwhile, the same media jumps at the chance to destroy the career of any democrat who can be portrayed as having made a single mistake.
