Macy's asks employees for vaccination status
Retail giant Macy's is asking all its employees for their COVID-19 vaccination status, regardless of an employee's position in the company, according to a memo sent out Tuesday andobtained by The New York Times.
Macy's, which also owns Bloomingdale's and Bluemercury, said the company will "review" those who are unvaccinated and the individuals "may be contacted by someone from the Colleague Advisory team to discuss next steps."
The vaccination status is requested of all employees "regardless of whether you work in a store, a supply chain facility, an office, or are remote/hybrid."
A Macy's representative told the Times that the company is "working to comply with federal and local guidelines related to Covid."
