The redrawing of district lines cut out the bluest parts and left too many farmers & small towns in the district.
He's still a hard R, and a true believer in small government & supply side economics. VERY libertarian
He's not one of the good guys, he's just not a frothing maniac.
I've spoken to him several times. I've sat at the same table with him at a couple banquets. He's a nice guy, he's not a traitor or a maniac. He's also not a liar to the degree we're used to with Rs.
That doesn't make him a good guy or his constituents lucky, aside from those in the district who voted for TFG twice. They got to have an R rep, although not being a raving fool, still an R.
