Ron Desantis looked and sounded very unwell today. Unlike right-wingers with Biden, I did not edit or doctor this video in any way. Maybe he just had a bad breakfast.

It is making my life much more challenging.

Every liberal I know who learns they have COVID discloses it to anyone they had been in close contact with - and has given me permission to disclose their status.

Our contact tracing is pitifully slow (roughly a week from report to trace). That's 2 generations of omicron. I have students who have symptoms - and I'm not allowed to disclose to those who were sitting 4' away for a 6-hour stretch 24 hour before the start of symptoms that they may have been exposed. Contact tracing will let them know next week, and they may well have contracted an asymptomatic case and spread it to a whole other group by then.
