Is there really a crisis at the border?

Republican Glenn Grothman was also asked this week about his thoughts on Jan, 6, and what he hears from his district about it.

“I don’t hear a lot about it from my constituents," he said. "I’m thinking about the border right now, I’m thinking about inflation."

I live in Wisconsin, so I don't see too much of a problem. (Naturally, I worry about those crazy Canadians coming down and spreading their politeness everywhere.) All I hear from conservatives is that there's a crisis on our border. Is there any substance to that?

But every once in a while, a French word slips out. Before you know it, we'll all be saying "I'm sorry."

Of the 15 who died “in the line of duty,” 13 died from COVID. The other two were killed in vehicle-related accidents. Nearly 20% of border patrol agents remain unvaccinated.

Copaganda at its finest.

More Border Patrol Agents died in the line of duty during 2021 than in any other time since the agency’s inception. The line-of-duty deaths of 15 Border Patrol agents mark a grim milestone in the agency’s history. https://trib.al/mnYNNzt

who supposedly have legal authority to direct their activity/behavior... So if you consider that a crisis, then yeah we've got a border crisis.

Some years ago, like 20, I used to see a dozen or so guys handcuffed, sitting in a line next to
the road, with a BP agent guarding them. I've had many immigrants come through my property.
I gave some work to a few and water to more. Most of the crime around here is young white wanna-be
tough guys in the nearby town. In my experience of 40 plus years on this land is that the immigrants
are just trying to get north to find work. They're often tired and hungry and well-mannered.

Glenn Grothman is wanting to avoid the topic of January 6th.

So, he says, "I'm thinking about something else"....(Let me think real quick and come up with something....um..."Border".)

Covid is more of a crisis than the border is, so he could have said, "I'm more worried about Covid 19"...but he just rattles off a GOP talking point.

Sure it's a border and there is always stuff going on down there.
The surge of people from Haiti has seemed to die down.

I think it's pretty much business as usual....

It’s a primary topic from the wingers and rw media.

Here are the talking points we will hear:

They are no doubt about to bring Covid, crime MS13 style, stealing the jobs everyone is quitting and no one wants (but that will not be said). They will definitely be voting illegally-and always for democrats, and probably 10 other things I can’t think of at the moment.
