Seems early. Typical peaks occur 10 days to 2 weeks after a surge event like the holidays... Wounded Bear Jan 2022 #7

the numbers, but it looks like it peaked around Jan. 1, .a four week rise to peak, identical to South Africa and London. Too soon to say how quickly London drops but it looks like SA will drop to low levels about four or five weeks after the peak. You should at least be in better shape by the time of your party.
NYC hopefully will be first in and first out in the country.
DC is showing the same little drop too.

the peak would be this weekend (post NYE).

The last couple of days lines for testing have VASTLY diminished. There is still a bit of a delay to get results, but Medrite, City MD, LabQ and all the other testing vans, tents, and sites are much easier to access.

I think we will see a downturn quite quickly this week.

(Todays numbers, however, appeared to be the second highest in the history of covid cases in NYC.0

As for parties... I would do them this month. I have an indoor dinner scheduled on the 25th, but it's just my husband and myself at a small sushi joint that seats only 14.

Other than that, I am avoiding indoor stuff until we go to the ballet in Feb.

Hoping we can do it too. I've gotten pretty good at not counting our eggs until they're hatching these days. lol.

80K, 87K and 85K for the last 3 days.

So the state looks like it's up. Those city numbers look good, but only go through the 4th, which is when the state blew up.

If it isn't it may just mean more tests but not more cases. The positivity rate is sometimes hard to find. They state is supposed to be behind the City a bit, maybe a week or two.

Not bad (better than FL). Looks like a little drop in the last 4 days that I checked.
