I don't know where this one is but I know there are lighthouses in Maine and if an icy rain fell they could become covered in ice.

Why not?

Why would they be immune to ice?

That lighthouse lives in St. Joseph, Michigan USA, and this link depicts that it does indeed 'ice-up' (there).

It's a distinction that is lost on the who deny the human influences on our planet.

Ice will form whenever there's water and a temperature below 32º F. Throw is a strong wind and you'll see the nearly horizontal icicles develop. This video depicts a weather event in a very cold place.

Just because it's cold in some parts of the Earth doesn't mean that the average temperature of the whole planet hasn't increased. This is what climate relates to.

Regardless, thanks for the video, Lady FR. It's quite beautiful and it shows some of the incredible variety of our world.

I remember my car being encased in ice one morning way back in my college years. Fairly normal occurrence when the conditions are right.
