NOVAK DJOKOVIC is battling to be allowed into Australia ahead of the year's first Grand Slam.https://www.express.co.uk/sport/tennis/1546997/novak-djokovic-australian-open-latest-renata-voracova-tennis-news
Novak Djokovic was pictured maskless at a public event one day after his supposed positive Covid test in December.
The world No 1 one was also seen hugging children at his tennis centre in Dorcol, Serbia a day after his lawyers claimed he had been infected with Covid.
The Serb's lawyers are reportedly planning to use the test in question to validate his medical exemption, which was originally thought would allow him into Australia and compete at this month's Australian Open.
Djokovic is still being held in a Melbourne detention centre after his visa was cancelled upon arrival into the country. The 34-year-old has vocally opposed being jabbed and has refused to reveal his vaccination status in the past.

(8,200 posts)I came in contact with several who from childhood were treated with adoration because of their athletic superiority. Boys were especially affected by this treatment since in most cases they were considerably more advanced maturely then their peers and naturally excelled in sports. I witness how teachers were affected by this and treated them as someone special. While many young people who excelled scholastically were not given the same admiration for their accomplishments. Unfortunately, thousands upon thousands have contributed with far more importance in science, medicine and social issues are rarely ever acknowledged like the athletes who are materially compensated majestically. I have been out with a couple, who expected people to pick up the tap. I am inclined to think this is probably not untypical from what I have heard from others. It starts in early childhood and I suppose is just an unfortunate natural aspect of human nature that perhaps has something to do with survival in more primitive periods.

(5,969 posts)You read one story and think that he's a dumbass and the next day you read an even worse story. I hope that him testing positive for Covid was just fabricated.
That's the level he has reached now: One has to hope that he lied about testing positive because the alternative is horrible.

(5,546 posts)his claim of having had Covid 12/16 was fraud.
He also mentioned that the deadline for submission was 12/10. So, I hope that this all comes out in the courts.
I think that the courts will deny him entry and he will then be left with the option to appeal (which will take several more days) OR leave the country.
If he appeals, hell run out of time to prepare physically for the tournament
.
I would so love to see Rafa get to 21 before the joker!

(3,541 posts)Every time I look at his mom on TV I feel sorry for her, her body language is one of anguish, I have to think that she is not a free woman at home, his dad looks like a rough guy. Novak's wife also looks submissive, they both look scared.
He has all the qualities:
1. Narcissistic
2. Reckless (Having been found COVID positive and still not caring who he infects)
3. Entitled
4. Religious to a fault...religious fanatic.
5. He thinks he is god.
6. And many other attributes that make him fit for dictatorship.
He was nominated for some position in Tennis, not sure if it is the player's association or something, and all he has done is create division, I don't think Federer and Nadal are fans of his. He also supported Justin Gimelstob who beat up a friend in front of his wife and kids. Gimelstob is another jewel of the Tennis world.

In a Los Angeles courtroom on Monday, Gimelstob pleaded no contest to felony battery for his part in a physical altercation with Randall Kaplan as they trick-or-treated with their families on Halloween night last year. The judge reduced the charge to a misdemeanor and sentenced Gimelstob to three years probation and 60 days of community labor.

I hope the Australian government doesn't bend the rules for Djokovic, it would set a really bad precedent and it would be an insult to the Australian people and the Tennis World.

(147,002 posts)they are insulted when that treatment does not come. It's not just athletes. Politicians, too, are prone to such egotism. So are famous actors and musicians. Athletes, of course, who gain fame also fall prey to it.
And the public not only tolerates it, but encourages it by fawning over such self-important celebrities.

I am not surprised he carries himself in public in an infectious manner, I admit I do not trust the unvaccinated.
Shameful.
