This guy was some sort of musician/religious fanatic and loud and proud anti-vaxxer. The operative word being 'was' because he is, no more. Now, the first photo is pretty heavily filtered but the second most definitely is not. Covid deniers need to see just this sort of thing, although some would probably still be in denial.

(35,675 posts)Before and afters are effective communication, which is why weight loss companies use this technique so often.

However, do you think it'll work for Mike Pompeo? (wink)

Christianity is made up later.
Jesus DID NOT worship himself.
True Christians should all take a vow of poverty as good Christians.

(1,476 posts)Temple-Centric Judaism (not rabbinical) was all about the sacrifice for their sins. A poor Jew would sacrifice a couple doves, a rich Jew perhaps their prized bull. As an agrarian economy- this made sense. As Jesus was God in the flesh, He was literally the ultimate Jewish sacrifice. That is why the Orthodox and Catholics call the Mass The Sacrifice of the Mass.
Jesus fulfilled Judaism. No other sacrifice was required since the ultimate one had been made. In 70 AD, emperor Titus destroyed the Temple and forbade it be rebuilt. Thus rabbinical Judaism, as we know it today, was born.
Its also why Republicans are so interested in the Middle East. The Messiah cannot return until the Temple is rebuilt for the 3rd time. A mosque stands on it now.
Whether one believes or not is irrelevant. These beliefs still drive global policy today. Its important to understand the story and their beliefs.
Yes, Jesus was indeed a very devout Jew who obviously had a deep knowledge of Judaism

(20,190 posts)Of course, you won't hear anyone say it. But the Antichrist has to rule over the before Armageddon takes place, before the Rapture and before the return of Christ to rule over 1000 years of peace. The rule of Trump, as vile as he is, fulfills biblical prophecy.

(93 posts)If these people put half as much effort into what they could do to prevent expensive ICU visits. But it's always someone else left holding the bag. They don't care if they've transmitted it to someone else, often times including their own family. Leaving their family with a mountain of medical debt? Not their problem either. If there's a silver lining, it's that there will undoubtedly be fewer of these selfish, ignorant assholes walking the earth.

(93 posts)..and she says it's funny how people who've disregarded the experts will suddenly seek professional help when they can't catch their breath. Then their loved ones request-or DEMAND-Ivermectin for them. It's like, they're in the ICU because they've acted counter to what the science says they should do, and despite that, they still want to go against the science. It's just insane.

(28,474 posts)but think climate change is a hoax - not realizing it's the same scientists telling us about the weather and the climate. Science when it suits them, willful ignorance when it doesn't.

(93 posts)...is that these people have no regard for how they're transmitting this to others, or the trauma they're causing health workers. The real tragedy is that the anti-vaxxers get to die while sedated.
