My girlfriend flew to Pasadena to see her son March his last game in the Rose bowl.
Today she texted to tell me 40% tested positive for Covid.
Her and her husband are hoping they dont get it.
It cost them a fortune. I hope they dont get the Covid!

(4,935 posts)just suspended rehearsals again. Our last concert was at Christmas time 2021. We managed to get enough rehearsals in for that one. Last concert before that was Christmas 2020. Was really looking forward to continued playing
its very healing for me.
Luckily we have not lost any members to COVID.

(9,267 posts)We did our Christmas concert, our last rehearsal was Dec 16. Was supposed to start back next week but now were on a (hopefully brief) hiatus again. To my knowledge we are all vaccinated except one older gentleman (a Trumpie) who spent Xmas in the hospital with Covid. Im having a hard time feeling sorry for him.

(6,679 posts)Yes I pulled that stat out of my rear, but honestly it feels that way. Those reports of localized issues with services is very true in my little corner of Ohio. Everything from police and fire fighter shortages to fast food closures to box stores struggling to fully open. It's hit and miss but it's very noticeable.
Since March 2020 this is the first time this local area was so deeply impacted beyond hospitals being full - which is perpetual here.
