'Sean Thinks We Should Do This': Insiders Reveal How Trump Relied on Hannity

Trump reportedly let hosts Hannity and Lou Dobbs join in Oval Office staff meetings by phone

“There were times the president would come down the next morning and say, ‘Well, Sean thinks we should do this,’ or, ‘Judge Jeanine thinks we should do this,’ ” Grisham, who resigned after the Jan. 6 insurrection, told the paper. These suggestions from Fox personalities, she said, would often frustrate staff as the hosts shared their thoughts on topics ranging from White House personnel to how to frame the president’s message. Trump would even dial Hannity and former Fox Business host Lou Dobbs into Oval Office staff meetings, a former administration official told The Post. Grisham also recently revealed that on Jan. 6, Trump was “gleefully” watching the violence unfold on television.

doesn't it? The whole reason for the existence of the executive privilege is to protect the deliberations of a president and his advisors - who would be other government employees. If a president is deliberating with and getting advice from members of the media, who turn right around and put those deliberations on television, he just flushed his so-called executive privilege right down his golden toilet.

Text messages Meadows turned over to the Jan. 6 committee further confirmed the close relationship between the Trump administration and Fox News. Hosts were frantically messaging Meadows, begging him to get Trump to make a statement to quell the violence. “Can he make a statement? Ask people to leave the Capitol,” Hannity wrote on Jan. 6. Days earlier, the Fox host pushed Meadows to get the president to stop talking about the election, which Trump falsely and repeatedly claimed was stolen from him.

“Mark, the president needs to tell people in the Capitol to go home. This is hurting all of us. He is destroying his legacy,” Ingraham texted Meadows on Jan. 6.

Even as the coronavirus began to spread in the winter and spring of 2020, Fox News hosts were intimately involved with Trump. That March, host Tucker Carlson met with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort where he warned the president that Covid-19 could cost him the election, The Post reported. Trump, however, droned on about how the virus was not as deadly as the flu.

And in April of 2020, Ingraham met with Trump in the White House alongside two of her regular on-air contributors who she called her “medicine cabinet.” During the meeting, they pushed hydroxychloroquine, a drug that has since been shown to be an ineffective Covid treatment. Throughout the spring Trump touted the drug, even claiming in May that he was taking it as a preventative measure. Thanks in part to Trump’s messaging, as well as Fox News hosts embracing the drug, it was in high demand, leaving patients who needed it — including people with lupus and other autoimmune disorders — scrambling to find it in stock.

colluding and coordinating messaging. Or, if they choose to do so, it should be required that they (the media and government) publicly state that their material is propaganda and it should not receive protection under the first amendment. (I.e. if Biden chose to shut down the coordination by having the FCC revoke a broadcasting license, that should be legal).

is little better than "PRAVDA". They are 80+% Republican owned. Fox, of course, being the largest and worst.

I have read that Australia and one other country have formally banned "FOX NEWS" from it's airwaves. They would approve FOX "ENTERTAINMENT", but not FOX "NEWS"....

Many psychiatrists have concluded that watching only Fox News and listening to RW Radio have effectively brainwashed these Republican Voters. They basically think that it has had the same exact effect as the communist re-education camps for dissenters....

before hannity's 3 hour radio show.

there's a reason the giuliani powell press conference was timed to start with the limbaugh show. there's a reason mcconnell would call limbaugh after every election they didn't keep or gain the senate to assure him dems would never get 60 votes for anything.

trump would get photos of him and limbaugh playing golf or having lunch or at christmas parties to intimidate republican politicians

hannity had the evening tv fox spot for trump and his hacks as well as his radio show and he was a lot more stupid and subservient to trump, and with limbaugh getting more and more sick, hannity became more important. but trump, hannity, fox and putin piggybacked this whole disaster on the 30 years of rw radio lies and excuses sold with royal certitude by an ignorant racist coward hiding behind call screeners and a few hundred pathetic apprentice blowhard liars like hannity who, in the ultimate example of actual political correctness, had to parrot limbaugh on 1500 radio stations or get screamed at by the army of dittoheads who couldn't call their intellectual and moral leader limbaugh.

both hannity and trump, and us, owe much of this to limbaugh and the monopoly that protected him from real competition and correction

epstien did a lot of actual fundraising for dems, probably trolling for ones the russians could blackmail

She knows she is Dead either way...........

However, NOT disclosing info has slightly better odds for her to live.......

The large number of Politicians and Uber wealthy men have way to much to loose to allow her to live either way........

If I were her, I would tell the Powers To Be, and all the Politicians, that I had made a document with names, photos and proof.
That I gave a copy of those documents to two trusted people, with the instructions that if anything "happens" to me, they are to hand deliver their copy to Washington Post, and the DOJ......
That would be her only chance of avoiding her ex pervert's ending.............

and consider the revenge factor from her POV - she's the one going to jail while the other offenders are sailing around enjoying themselves. and they might think she might want to write a book, for instance, even if she doesn't rat them out right away.

It is obvious she is just as much a demented repulsive psychopathic pervert as Epstein was..........

I am not sure that even psychiatrists could tell us how that scale of perversion came about in their brains. People aren't born with that kind of crap in their brains..........

If she makes it into a normal prison, I am sure she will be surrounded by other female prisoners who come from some of the same places she did....

Maybe her fear of that will propel her to cough up information that will be part of a plea bargain to keep her safer in a camp cupcake, low security prison for the rest of her days...

Who was dialed in, or consulted with TFG in actions taken on behave of our country should be fired immediately.

Just like Chris Cuomo was fired for consulting on former Gov Cuomo’s sexual harassment allegations.

Will it happen??

Of course not.

Trump, via his surrogates, will point out that Presidents have always sought input from trusted advisors, and they'll claim that this is simply more of the same.

Even if Trump is held accountable at all (which at this point is doubtful), this story will disappear more or less without impact.
