Sen. Mike Rounds on Sunday made it clear that he didnt subscribe to Trumps conspiracy theories about the 2020 election being stolen from him.
As a part of our due diligence, we looked at over 60 different accusations made in multiple states, the South Dakota Republican said on ABCs This Week. While there were some irregularities, there were none of the irregularities which would have risen to the point where they would have changed the vote outcome in a single state.
He added: The election was fair, as fair as we have seen.
Looking toward the 2022 midterms, which could break the deadlock in what is now a 50-50 Senate, Rounds said Republicans must move past unfounded allegations that Trump was cheated out of a victory if they wish to prevail.

GOP senator says he would 'take a hard look' at another Trump run
Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) said on Sunday that while he has previously stated he will support the next Republican presidential nominee, he would take a "hard look" at supporting former President Trump if he runs again in 2024.
ABC "This Week" host George Stephanopoulos asked Rounds, who has shot back at GOP assertions that the 2020 presidential election was fraudulent, if he could support Trump if he ran for office again.
"I will take a hard look at it," said Rounds.
"Personally, what I have told people is, is I'm going to support the Republican nominee to be president. I'm not sure that the eventual nominee has even shown up yet," he said. "There's still -- we're two years to go, where we're going to focus on the next election cycle. It's critical that we take back the House. It's critical that we take back the United States Senate."

They're good at parsing, instilling doubt and obfuscation.
"While there were some irregularities, there were none of the irregularities which would have risen to the point where they would have changed the vote outcome in a single state."
What irregularities senator? Do you mean the multiple republicans from The Villages charged for voting twice for Trump? Or the multiple republicans from Pennsylvania charged for voting twice or for the guy in Colorado (who killed his wife) who filled out and sent in his "missing" wife's absentee ballot?
So again senator, what irregularities?

(42,770 posts)Repukes need to stop talking like trump really won. Why? Does he have some inside scoop that this subject matter is hurting them? Or does he just think those are good hollow words to say? He obviously doesn't believe them if he would even consider voting for FG again.
