Man Who Purchased Gun For Kyle Rittenhouse Takes Plea Deal

The man who bought Kyle Rittenhouse an assault-style rifle when he was only 17 has agreed to plead no contest to contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a non-criminal citation, and avoid convictions on the two felonies he’d been facing.

The Journal Sentinel reports Dominick Black, 20, was charged in November 2020 with two counts of delivering a dangerous weapon to a minor, resulting in death. The two counts related to Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, the protesters Rittenhouse fatally shot the night of Aug. 25, 2020, in Kenosha.

Black was 18 when he purchased the rifle for Rittenhouse at a hardware store in Rusk County in May of that year. At 17, Rittenhouse was too young to legally purchase the weapon.

So this guy pleads no contest while Rittenhouse gets away with murder?

... points out the problem.
In this country we treat gun violence not as a crime, but as an act of god. Or something. Can't be avoided. Comes with the territory. Part of our culture. Can't do anything about it.

"His gun went off." ... by itself?
"4 people killed and 6 wounded." ... passive voice.
And on and on.

Somebody provides a weapon to a kid who kills two people with it... and nobody even gets more than a slap on the wrist.

Sounds like the prosecutors felt their case wasn’t solid enough due to Rittenhouse’s acquittal or they’re just lazy and ready to put this whole thing behind them after their office’s high profile loss with Rittenhouse.
