Sen. Rubio Slammed For Anti-Semitic Dog Whistle In Bashing 'Upscale Liberal' Media

Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio was called out for coded anti-Semitism after he bashed “upscale liberals who control the media” for the continued coverage of last year’s historic Jan. 6 insurrection.

Critics erupted after Rubio’s tweet on Friday clearly evoked the anti-Semitic trope that Jews control the media as he griped that the insurrection wasn’t like “Pearl Harbor or 9/11.”

It might not be the best time to antagonize voters. Democratic Florida Rep. Val Demings is running this year to unseat Rubio.

“Upscale Liberals = Jews,” tweeted Rachel Vindman, wife to Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman who testified at Donald Trump’s impeachment trial about his strong-arming Ukraine’s president in a bid to trigger an investigation into Joe Biden’s son Hunter.

this right-wing propaganda meme has been a republican mainstay going back to watergate days, maybe even earlier.

but with hate radio, foxnews, and the msm nearly always choosing to air right-wing topics using right-wing catchphrases and right-wing frames, what we have these days is a ridiculously right-wing media.

a "liberal media" would never have given donnie 75% of the airtime during the 2016 campaign, and would have buried him for his two dozen sexual harassment allegations, his failure to release taxes, his 4,000 or so lawsuits, and so on.

a "liberal media" would have barely given any airtime to hillary's email "scandal", and instead focused on how those emails showed she was a dedicated public servant with great leadership and organization skills and buried the republicans for abusing their investigative power to smear a political opponent.

a "liberal media" would not have praised donnie's handling of the economy, which was tepid before covid, and a "liberal media" would be turning biden into a saint for 2021's amazing economic boom instead of fixating on the inflation that naturally accompanies strong growth.

and a "liberal media" would be dismissing the entire republican party as dangerous pro-covid, pro-violence, russian-funded, anti-democratic, anti-constitution, fascist organization willing to cheat and commit crimes to gain power.
