(95,255 posts)I should think the Speaker could order attendance, backed perhaps by a majority of the House?
I've not looked into the matter, but it does not seem one for the courts. Congress runs itself without reference to the Judiciary.

(1,525 posts)Jim Jordan is an anti-democratic traitor.
My anger is deepening about these people. The more we go on the more this looks like America right before the Civil War. I don't think we can pull out of this unless the citizens of this nation stop voting in leaders like this.
Jim Jordan should already be in jail for his inaction at Wisconsin State or at least be a lot poorer for all the civil suits. But instead he continues to serve in Congress. He is one of the insurrectionists and should be expelled from Congress. These people are projected to regain the majority in Congress. Then this will all be disbanded and chaos and injustice will reign.
How can we survive when our citizens are stupid enough to continue to elect scum like this to office?

Adam DiSabato the brother of Mike DiSabato, the whistleblower who exposed the abuse by Richard Strauss testified Wednesday during a public hearing in the state legislature that when the story came out in July 2018, he received a phone call from a tearful Jordan.
Jim Jordan called me crying, crying, groveling, on the Fourth of July, begging me to go against my brother, begging me, crying for half an hour, Adam DiSabato said, according to video of his testimony. Thats the kind of coverups going on here.,,,,,
In the midst of the Trump impeachment proceedings in the House, which Jordan took an active and high-profile role in, a new lawsuit was filed in which one alleged victim of Strausss sexual misconduct said he had reported it to Jordan. Jordan has been named in one other lawsuit as having been told, but he is not named as a defendant in any of them.
