Nya nya nya nya nya. Look what we have.

Last edited Wed Oct 24, 2012, 07:51 PM - Edit history (2)

So a local OFA guy was driving by our house and noticed that we have lots of Dem signs but we didn't have an Obama sign (ours hadn't arrived in the mail yet). He rang the doorbell and asked if we want one or two.

SURE!

He said he'd be back the next day with two of them. We live on a corner and get a lot of traffic - so one for each side of our property.

Sounds good to me.

This is what I saw when I came home:

They are frickin' HUGE!

Yeah, I know, I need to do some yard work. Gimme a break. I've been on the road for most of the last three weeks.

And yeah, I've been a critic of the President and a thorn in the side of a few DUers (I got banned from the BO group after just two posts ). But that doesn't mean I'm going to let him lose. I'll be at the local office this weekend working the phone bank and/or doing some door knocking again.

So, suck it RW neighbors! Our signs are bigger than yours and our guy is gonna kick your guy's ass!

Edited to add. Our normal sized sign showed up in the mail a day later. We gave it to my parents.

I told the campaign they could put one up that size.
They have not shown up with one, doubt they will, your campaign team looks like they are on top of it.

Put some habanero peppers and some cooking oil in a food processor and turn it into paste. Dilute the paste with water and brush it around the edges of your signs.

That crap will light you up, so handle with kitchen gloves.

put it around the edges of the signs where someone is likely to grab them. It's a pine-tar compound that gets all over your hands and will not come out of clothing. You may lose one more sign, but the vandalism will stop pretty quickly. It worked wonders for a friend who was losing kitschy lawn ornaments to local teens (plastic pink flamingoes), and others have used it with great success on their political signs.

I was able to easily get some in 2008. This year I've had two orders cancelled and the local office never has any. My neighborhood is full of Romney signs. So, I settle for my Obama stickers and magnets.

One of the perks of being at a corner that gets decent traffic.
I don't have any signs because my house is close to the dead end of a road, so there's barely any traffic.
