During a court hearing Monday, Judge Amit Mehta pointed out repeatedly that Trump on January 6 asked the crowd to march to the Capitol, but that he didn't speak up for two hours asking people to stop the violence.

"The words are hard to walk back," Mehta said. "You have an almost two-hour window where the President does not say, 'Stop, get out of the Capitol. This is not what I wanted you to do.'"

(269,172 posts)You should have met my mother. You are quite informed but we retirees have way more time to keep up with goings on, particularly since we're mostly at home because of Covid.
I often wrongly assume that we're all in the know about things like the Slobfather and his lawyers bawling about immunity from law suits linked to his failed coup.

Google this:
What you get is 6 (six) results, one of which is the Original Post:
Did you mean: The Slob Father is going to lose in a few minutes He will not get immunity from Jan 6 - take that to the bank
It looks like these results are changing quickly
If this topic is new, it can sometimes take time for results to be added by reliable sources
Please don't post advice that is ridiculous on the face of it.

(49,043 posts)It is not an insult to state that the posts are context free, or the fact that it happens frequently. Especially when the objective is to increase important context in OPs.

(43,198 posts)It's just that a lot of us don't have immediate access to CNN during the day and if they just said "shortly" it could mean various different things.
Cable news has a tendency--both consciously and subconsciously--to keep us on edge.
