(32,714 posts)He never left prison until he needed serious hospital care, and by then he was already a goner.
Ronnie was never implicated in any of his shit, but I always felt bad that she chose to carry his name.
Such is life.
Rest In Peace Ronnie Spector. A new lovely voice has joined the angel choir.

(18,672 posts)We'd pretend we were The Supremes and my now-Trumpster cousin would demand she be Diana Ross, LOL. The Sixties had some amazing music thanks to Motown, etc. RIP Ronnie. I love the Ronettes.

(10,204 posts)commenting on a post by Kate Pierson (B-52s) asking if she should keep her pandemic hair long or cut it.
Ronnie said "HELLO!!!!! Loooonnnngggg!!"
I am taking this as a cosmic sign to keep my pandemic hair long.
I first heard her on Cousin Brucie's show.
I first saw her live opening for the Beatles.
Safe passage, Ronnie!

(2,895 posts)out to that music (with their eyes closed) to see their "Santa" gifts. Phil Spector was truly horrible, but he produced some unforgettable music with some exceptionally talented artists, including his former wife, Ronnie Spector, who he treated so cruelly. She was amazing! RIP.
