Just a reminder: Manchin and Sinema aren't up for re-election until 2024.

All of the "let's kick them out of office" talk is a tad premature.

Add to which: if we win enough new Senate seats 2022 to make them irrelevant, then they're irrelevant. And if we don't there's no assurance that they'll be replaced by better Democrats in two years.

Manchin isn't likely to be replaced by any Democrat, let alone a better one. Ocelot II Jan 2022 #1

There is no question if Manchin wasn't there it would be a republican instead, and Arizona is far JohnSJ Jan 2022 #2

Democrats will have to be elected in other states in order to make him irrelevant.

Let's just make Manchin irrelevant by getting another Democratic Senator from a purple state.

But I can definitely see primarying Sinema.

from a blue state.

The way to "make them irrelevant" is exactly how the OP suggests, by winning enough new seats in the Senate, and maintaining the majority in the House

And don't expect 100% conformity. We are a big tent party and we won't win by ostracizing the folks who aren't 'progressive' enough.

Manchin is a unicorn so I get it but AZ is winnable and right it's looking like Sinema would be a risk to win reelection given plenty of Dems won't be motivated to turn out for her.

She's far from a guarantee. Find another Kelly, someone who is moderate enough to win but with at least some level of party loyalty.
