Video: 8000+ King Sooper Workers Walk Out On Strike

Jan 14, 2022

Over 8000 grocery workers at Kroger-owned King Sooper are on strike, demanding an end to Kroger’s greed:

“We get paid enough to survive but not enough to live."

14% experienced homelessness this year and most can’t afford basic expenses, while Kroger’s CEO made $20 million.

You know what? If Kroger can afford to pay its CEO over 900x MORE than their median worker, then yeah, they can afford to pay their workers a decent wage, provide decent benefits, and invest in safe working conditions.

or an extra $1.2 an hour gross.

What they need to do is raise thier grocery prices so they can afford better workers. They need to increase their margins. And close down locations in areas that cannot support the increased margins.
